Participants Speak

I came across Waldorf pedagogy in 2016 (though I was teaching in a B.Ed.college at one point in time). Discussion with Preeti Misra brought the pedagogy alive for me and soon enough I enrolled for the teacher training offered by Rainbow Bridge.

The 4 monthly modules of training gave me an introduction to Anthroposophy and gave me an extensive understanding of how to work with children, with parents and also how to set up a Waldorf Kindergarten.

Apart from the academic aspect, the training took care of other essentials like painting, singing, handwork etc. A comprehensive, concrete training! Another very helpful aspect of the training was the hand-holding done by the mentors, not only initially, but even today they are available to solve our queries, doubts, questions (and I know for sure, forever).

I would also like to say that during the training we were exposed to mentors who had a deep understanding, people who were living what they were teaching. Preeti and Sucheta.

For me Sucheta is a straw I will grasp when I am drowning. An amazing mentor, warm, caring, a person who gives the confidence that someone is there. She has been an integral part of my Waldorf journey. My initiation into handwork was thanks to Preeti, a very skilled person in handwork. From her, I picked up not only neatness, but also to be economical with resources.

I completed Waldorf early childhood teacher training in 2018, and it gave me a deeper understanding of Waldorf kindergarten. The course was well-structured into 5 modules which considered rhythm, repetition, and reverence in the daily training schedule. We worked in groups for storytelling, creating nature corners, composing songs/nature stories, and the most energizing part of the training, making puppets and dolls. I really want to thank Ms.Sucheta Garud, Ms.Preeti Misra, and the loving staff of the Rainbow Bridge school for the lovely experience and enriching sessions. 🙏

Preeti and Sucheta’s Waldorf early childhood teacher training in Mumbai has what it takes for one to start a Waldorf kindergarten. Nagpur Waldorf Inspired School started in June 2020 after the first teachers and I took the well-defined program.

Sucheta is clear on many aspects of Steiner and Waldorf education knowledge with her vast experience, and I could understand and relate to what Sucheta was saying in the course. Preeti adds humour and warmth and is great with teaching handwork, although it is doubtful how much I could learn 🙂

They make a wonderful team! I am sure many more teachers would be supported in their Steiner Waldorf education journey because of Sucheta and Preeti’s much-required initiative!

The Rainbow Bridge Waldorf early childhood teacher training course is a must-do for anyone aspiring to be a great kindergarten teacher, and even for parents of young kids. Sucheta and Preeti make the esoteric world of Steiner so accessible and relatable that you wonder if there could be a simpler way to bring up and educate young children. I highly recommend men to take up this course — in today’s conflict-ridden society, we need more men to be good role models for young children (and for young boys, especially), and this course has the right elements to enable men to become so.

I traveled from Bangalore to Mumbai (back and forth, multiple times, over 4 months) to complete this course, and it was well worth the effort. Sucheta and Preeti are beautiful beings, and learning the art of working with small children through them was one of the most remarkable experiences of my life.
